A Foreign Body Granuloma of the Stomach: A Case report

Abstract
Granulomatous inflammation of the stomach similar to gastric neoplasm may occur in disseminated sarcoidosis,allergic granulomatosis, Crohn's disease, a variety of infectious diseases, as a reaction to foreign material, andin the absence of any of the above as isolated granulomatous gastritis. In the foreigh body induced granulomatous inflammation of the stomach, beryllium, kaolin, talcum, suture material and food can be causative materials. It isthe intent of this case report to add to the list of more commonly occurring intramural gastric masses, the remotepossibility of a foreign body granuloma. So radiologist should be aware of this entity and include it in their differential diagnosis of intramural gastric masses.
